Happy New Year! Thank you to all of our partners, supporters, volunteers and clients for a truly rewarding and impactful 2011.

We're jumping right into 2012, with a volunteer event to celebrate Martin Luther King Day. Will you help us ring in the New Year by volunteering to help people reduce their energy bills and greenhouse gas emissions at the same time? On Monday, January 16th, we'll join thousands of people across the country in the Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service.

On this day volunteers will bring the Denver Climate Challenge to the Montbello neighborhood in Denver. In teams of two, volunteers will offer to change out front porch light bulbs to compact fluorescent bulbs and sign people up for free recycling, weatherization and trees. We need 150 volunteers, so we need you!

Volunteers should be comfortable knocking on doors and talking to residents, and have a desire to improve our environment and help people connect with resources and services. Training and all the materials you need will be provided on the day of the event. Join us for a rewarding and fun event!

To volunteer call 303-455-5600 or email erin@groundworkdenver.org by Thursday, January 12th.
