Celebrate Earth Day by helping our neighbors reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy bills!

Saturday, April 24th in Five Points and Swansea

  • We'll be knocking on doors to swap out bulbs, provide energy resources, and sign people up for recycling, free trees and free weatherization.
  • We plan to change over 500 bulbs and sign up almost 300 households for free home energy audits.
  • Best of all, we'll après canvass at Cervantes with free beer and food sponsored by Wynkoop Brewing Company, All Tucked Insulation, and Community Banks of Colorado.

Please join us to help people and the planet (and have some fun)!

9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.

To volunteer or for more information, please contact Reggie Loggins at reggie@groundworkdenver.org or at 303-455-5600.

Overall results to date of swapping just porch bulbs: 2,913 bulbs changed; 199,748 kilowatt hours per year of energy saved; 175 tons of CO2 emissions prevented; $17,977 of energy costs saved; and 19 neighborhoods canvassed.  A home energy audit saves a resident at least $161 on energy bills and reduces CO2 emissions by about one ton annually.
